Founded originally in London, UK by Sandy Samuel, Somey’s Kitchen began with a range of chicken and prawn pickled masalas made from Ms. Samuel’s mother, Mrs. Somey’s recipes. The company established the factory near Bengaluru in early 2018, introducing ready-to-eat Indian Breads – chapatis & pooris.  It has introduced a range of semi cooked, tasty and affordable Indian Breads. The company’s products are made from natural ingredients and contain no preservatives.

The company is also one of the few companies manufacturing gluten-free chapatis and pooris in India.

Commenting on the launch, Founder & Chairman, Joel Jerome, said, “Kochi marks the sixth Indian city for Somey’s Kitchen since we established the factory in Bengaluru earlier this year. We are extremely pleased with the incredible response to our products, especially the gluten-free chapatis and pooris.”

CEO and Co-Founder, Sandy Samuel Jerome said “We aim to make Somey’s Kitchen an integral part of people’s life. Launching in Kochi will give us an opportunity to understand the consumer perspective and innovate the products as per the taste palate. Kochi is an important step to achieving our 2020 targets in terms of market and revenue.”
